An auction of Michael Jackson’s possessions has been cancelled.

The auction reported to sell around 2,000 of the stars belongings, was labelled a ‘misunderstanding’ and was abandoned last night (14th April) after Jackson filed a law suit to stop it going ahead.

Dr Tohme, the pop sensations, manager, said, “It was a misunderstanding. It was his personal property. It was never supposed to be sold.”

The auction was due to take place at Julien’s Auction House in Los Angeles next Wednesday, (22nd April) selling items from Jackson’s recently sold Neverland ranch in Santa Barbara, California – which included a customised Rolls Royce car, a single crystal white glove worn in the singer’s famous Billie Jean video and various stage costumes.

Darren Julien, organiser of the auction, said, “The auction is not going to take place. We wanted to reach an agreement with Jackson, and we have reached one today that is mutually acceptable and beneficial.”

MJJ, the 50-year-old stars production company, launched legal action against the auction last month, arguing that Jackson had not approved the sale of his goods in such manner, despite earlier co-operation with the organisers.

While the sale of Jackson’s possessions was expected to fetch around $12 million, a display of his items is still open to the public until the 25th April, after which the goods will be returned to Jackson.

Tohme said, “One day he will have a beautiful museum, like Graceland.”

Jackson is due to perform 50 sold out concerts at the O2 Arena, billed as his last ever concerts in the UK, due to start in June this year.

Leona Lewis refuses to speak more than a few words to people in fear of losing her voice.

The X Factor winner is so scared that she will lose her world-class voice; she refrains from shouting and keeps small talk with people to a minimum.

Leona said, “I get scared of things not panning out the way I want them too. I wonder what I’d do if anything happened to my voice. That is why I look after myself so much.

“I will say, ‘I can’t talk to you for too long,’ and ‘I can’t do this or that because I am doing a show.’ I will miss nights out because I can’t be talking over loud music. I get panicked in case something happens.”

However, the ‘Better in Time’ singer is not too worried about losing her fame and fortune, saying she lives for her singing, and would be devastated if she couldn’t sing anymore.

“Singing is an escape,” Leona said. “When I sing I go somewhere else, out of this world. It is another place where I am free to do whatever I want. It is like a dream. It’s my favourite colour, pastel pink, and there is just me there.”

There are many stars who go to extreme lengths to protect their voice before a show. Mariah Carey refuses to speak to anyone for two days before a concert.

The ‘Butterfly’ singer once said, “Before a big show I have to do vocal rest where I am not allowed to speak for two days. It is so boring having to write notes to everyone! I need Stephen Hawkings voice machine for when I am on vocal rest.

“I would like a machine where I can just think and it comes out in a robot voice-that would be amazing.”

The supermodel – who has battled addictions in rehab and also had issues with anger management– puts her recovery down to a plan called The Program.

The vivacious vixen, showed off her luscious legs on the front of Giant magazine, wearing tiny hot pants and sky scraper heels.

It seems Naomi has finally grown wise and reflective in her age telling the mag: “There comes a point when it all catches up with you and you have to deal with it.

“And that caused me to reassess myself and get real treatment for my anger and my addictions.

“Some people can handle a drink or a line of cocaine, but I’ve finally come to realise that for me, it’s all or nothing – and it has to be nothing.”

“The discipline of it has helped me in other parts of my day-to-day life.

“It teaches you to let go. I wish I knew about it earlier. But I found out about it when I did, and life is good.”

The Brit model, who reportedly lives with her Russian billionaire boyfriend VLADISLAV DORONIN, says that “life is good” and reveals that she hasn’t ruled out starting a family.

She added: “If God blesses me to have a child, I’d be gratefully welcoming.

“But I’m not putting myself under that pressure. I’m happy with my life the way it is.”

The Program has been described as a “larger philosophy of staying sober through personal redemption and a God-centred life”.

“I’m in The Program, and I’m proud to be.”

Paris Hilton is due to wed her boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, this summer even though the pair are not engaged.

The 27-year-old hotel heiress, who has been with Reinhardt since February, has been planning the extravagant wedding to take place towards the end of summer 2009.

Speaking publically about her relationship, Paris said, “He is going to be my husband. We are best friends. It is not just like we met. We have known each other over the past year. I was in a relationship before and we reconnected. I am really in love and really happy.”

Paris is currently busy filming the second series of her reality show, My New BFF, where Paris goes out in search for her new ‘Best Friend Forever.’ Paris is hoping this series will be better than the first.

Paris no longer speaks to Brittany Flickinger, winner of the first series, but refuses to disclose their reasons for falling out. Paris said, “It is really hard because I loved and trusted he, but sometimes people get too caught up and they change. I want a best friend who wants to be friends with me because I am a good person and a good friend, not for any other reason. I have been fooled by so many girls.”

Reinhardt often joins Paris on set when she is filming her series.

“It is good having my boyfriend on set and watching,” Paris said. “He comes up with funny ideas and production loves him.”

Last month it was reported that Reinhardt got down on one knee in front of Paris’s family as they sat down to eat a meal at The Ivy in Los Angeles.

It was reported that the socialite snapped the ring box shut, telling him she needed time to think over the proposal.

Paris, however, denied the rumours posting a message on her MySpace page, “I keep getting emails from you guys, calls from family, flowers from friends congratulating me on my engagement. They said they read some story the other day, saying that when Doug and I went to dinner with my parents the other night, that he proposed.

“This never happened- I don’t know where they come up with these stories sometimes. All we did was have a lovely dinner at my mom’s favourite restaurant.”

US singer, Chris Brown, has pleaded not guilty in relation to the alleged attack on Rihanna in February.

The 19-year-old singer appeared in Los Angeles courtroom yesterday (6th April) to answer to charges of felony assault and making criminal threats towards former girlfriend Rihanna.

Wearing a black sweater, tie and trousers, the singer appeared in court with his mother and laywer, Mark Geragos.

Chris waived the right to have a preliminary hearing within 10 days, with the judge setting the next hearing for April 29th, a hearing which Brown is not required to attend.

Brown’s lawyer, Geragos announced “more discovery was needed” in the case, meaning there was more evidence to review.

Chris is accused of punching, biting and choking Rihanna until she was unconcious in his rented silver Lamborghini, on February 8th.

Brown, if convicted, could be sent down for up to four years.

According to Rihanna’s lawyer, Donald Etra, Rihanna is co-operating with proceedings, despite not attending the hearing.

Etra said outside the courtroom: “Nothings changed with regard to Rihanna’s stance toward this case. She will testify if subpoenaed and will do everything that’s required of her to do.”

Insiders believe that Brown will accept a plea bargain for lesser charges, which could see the singer receiving a reduced jail sentence or probation.

When asked about the likelihood of a plea deal, Etra said, “I believe there are efforts by all parties involved to resolve this case expeditiously. That would be beneficial to everyone. Rihanna would be pleased if this case were resolved quickly and fairly.”

Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, is concerned about Brown’s not guilty plea and believes the singer should face up to his actions and accept the responsibility he faces.  He said, “Chris needs to stop being in denial. So what happened? Somebody else did this to Rihanna then? I would like to see justice go in the right direction.

“Who did it – that’s the question now. If he’s not guilty, who did it? He should say ‘guilty’ and let the court be leaning into him and try himself to the mercy of the court, see if he gets a fine. I think he’s a talented guy, but everybody should have to pay. When you do the crime, you do the time.”

Lindsay Lohan has blasted her ex, Samantha Ronson, for cheating on her and taking drugs while they were still together.

The ‘Parent Trap’ actress is reported to have split with the DJ after the pair’s turbulent one year relationship turned sour after rumours of cheating and drugs.

Lohan has leaked intimate details of their relationship in  her blog on social networking site, Twitter, saying, “I was right all along. Cheat.

“Being cheated on does wonders to you (sic).”

Lindsay went on to confirm her relationship was over, saying, “look, I am doing this publically because u+ur friends call people mag..so-you win, you broke my heart. now go away. i loved you. (sic)”

Growing concerns for Lohan’s weight loss has circulated the press alongside her three stints in rehab.

The rants started after Lohan was refused entry to Samantha’s sister, Charlotte’s party last Friday (3rd April) Lohan lashed out on her blog, saying,  ”ask your sister to stop yelling profanity plz;;stop doing drugs. and tell Charlotte to do more-she could loose a stone or 10. (sic).”

Samantha was DJ’ing at the party at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles, where Lohan was refused entry by five security staff. The actress was so desperate to get into the party she tried to climb over the walls.

A source told gossip website, X17Online, “Eventually Lindsay’s friends, the D squared designers who were staying at the Chateau, took pity on her and said they would look after her so they let her into their rooms. But the minute they let her in, Lindsay tried to sneak into the party again! Poor girl just couldn’t get in.”

It was claimed that Samantha’s family had told security not to let Lohan into the party.

Since the split, Samantha has changed all the locks on the Hollywood Hills house they shared.

A source said, “I’m sure Lindsay and Sam are over. Sam’s family wants her to get away from Lindsay – they think she’s completely nuts!”

 Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have put their adoption plans on the backburner as the couple deal with their troubled relationship, reports claim.

 A recent US tabloid report revealed that the celebrity duo hoped to adopt another child this year, yet instead have called in Angelina’s brother,  James Haven, to act as a mediator between them.

 The couple have reportedly had a few bust ups in recent weeks, with a source telling, In Touch, “Poor James was trying to say, ‘Come on, that’s not  fair,’ and they ended up talking right over him.”

 James is worried that his famous sister may cause a series of problems which “may sabotage the best thing she has ever had and walk out on  Brad.”

 Angelina is currently working on her new movie, Salt, where she takes on a multiple set of disguises as a CIA agent. It was reported that the pair  were clearly not getting as the tension mounted on the New York set for the film.

 It was reported that Angelina said to Brad, who is looking after the children while she is filming, “Will you please respect the fact that I am  working right now?” and “All you have to do is look after the kids. Will you please do it?”

 An on-set insider added, “You can clearly tell something’s is not right between them.”

Jolie is reported to be trying to lose more weight to get into her acting role as a CIA agent. One of her disguises is playing a man which Angelina hopes to loose 21pounds in 21 days, getting rid of her curves for a leaner figure. 

However, her extreme diet regime has had negative impact on the Brangelina household. A source revealed that, “Brad told her that if she was staying on the diet, he was getting out of the way. Then she started screaming at him about a chore.

“He felt that whatever he did or said would be wrong, so he went to Los Angeles to let off steam with some buddies. He thinks the diet is dangerous and unnecessary.”

In today’s celebrity world, the women are diet crazy as they shed pounds in a week on ridiculous, unhealthy diets. 

From the baby food diet to the water diet, these supposed role models are fading into nothing as many of us try and copy their superslim look.

The British actress is constantly fighting rumours that she is anorexic, after a family history of her grandmother and great grandmother suffering from the illness. Keira insists she is not battling the same problem and is naturally skinny anyway. Lucky her!

Although the pictures don’t show much difference, you can definitely see the great difference when she has a little bit of meat on her. Come on Keira, swap a salad for a pie!

The millionaire footballer is supposedly taking the X Factor judge to the spot in the desert where he proposed in 2005 and it is said he is shopping for an expensive ring to present to his stunning wife, Cheryl in the lavish Al Mahra resort.

 It is said that Cole hopes his declaration of commitment will bring a close to the drama surrounding the one-night stand he had with hairdresser Aimee Walton, 23, which nearly destroyed his marriage last year.

Keira Knightley

British actress Keira Knightley is seen suffering a severe beating in a new advert campaign to highlight domestic violence.

 The two-minute long advert for the charity Women’s Aid, sees the Pirates of the Caribbean star  being brutally attacked by her boyfriend after she returns home from a film set.

 Women’s Aid hopes the adverts, starting tonight, will demonstrate that women from all walks of life can suffer abuse.

The ad, which is directed by Joe Wright, who worked with Keira on Atonement, is based in an empty film set. As the camera pans out to show Knightley cowering from the beating on the floor, a strap line reads: “Isn’t it time someone called cut?”

 Keira, 25, said: “Domestic violence kills two women every week but we rarely hear about it.”

The advert, made by Grey London, will be shown in cinemas before 15-rated movies from 2 April, and will also be shown on television after the watershed.
