US pop singer, Britney Spears, plans to visit sick children in hospital when her tour comes to London in June this year.

The mum of two was so touched when visiting Miami Children’s Hospital earlier this month, she has decided to visit children at Britain’s Great Ormond Street hospital.

A source said, “She would really like to do this. In Miami she met up with 40 kids and posed for pictures with them.

“She found it really moving that just a couple of minutes with the children could mean so much to them.”

Her ‘Circus’ tour, which kicked off in New Orleans two weeks ago, will visit London’s 02 arena in just two months time. However, the 27-year-old star is already threatening to cancel her remaining shows after receiving death threats.

The ‘Womanizer’ star is said to be worried about the lives of her sons Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, aged two, who could be in danger following the menacing messages.

A source said, “Britney received some anonymous death threats over the phone and in the mail, and her worst fear is a kidnap plot against Sean or Jayden. She’s been having terrible nightmares ever since then and she wakes up in the middle of the night crying out for her boys.

“She told her head of security and he thinks it’s a lone stalker. Her paranoia has reached fever pitch and she’s wracked with fear.”

The singer has had an album of hair dos since shaving it all off last year. The US singer has had the dodgiest of extensions and wigs, from blonde tacky strands, to dull and lifeless brunette hair. Although the star is getting back on track and realising a good barnet is actually pretty useful, it’s ever so easy to remember that fateful night she thought the middle-aged balding man look was pretty sexy!

3.     Sarah Harding

Now I think Sarah may have got slightly confused when her band members asked whether she was to do a star trek to Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief. Instead, the Girls Aloud singer decided to go for the Mr Spock look, hoping to steal the lime light from the other band members. Don’t worry Sarah, you’ve certainly done that!

4.     Edith Bowman

Scary! Why Edith decided to go for the Camilla Parker Bowles look is beyond understanding. The rock chick Radio One presenter’s granny look doesn’t do her many favours and most likely sent her singer boyfriend, from The Editors running for the hills. Go and do some knitting Edith!

The lovable Lilly Allen became not so lovable when she died her hair pink. What was she thinking? Not only did it wash her out, it looks plastic, flat and did not make her look like a rock star. Stick to brunette Lilly, it’s just safer!

There has been much speculation for some time now as to whether Britney Spears will get to take her boys on her upcoming concert tour, but it has been confirmed that the boys are allowed to travel with her, but at a cost.

A document has been signed by both Britney’s father, Jamie Spears and her ex-hubby, K-Fed , but what’s in it for Kevin Federline? Money of course! The only way that Kevin will allow the boys to travel with Britney on tour. 

Britney will get to take her little boys with her on tour but of course it will cost her, and the question i know your all dying to be answered is, but how much? $5,000 a week!  So Federline is once again cashing in on his ex-wife.

Jayden James and Sean Preston will follow Britney to New Jersey, New Orleans and Los Angeles. Britney will have to commute back and forth from each location during the tour, and she is also renting houses in New Jersey and New Orleans for Kevin if he wants to come along for the ride. Kevin Federline will receive the $5K whether he goes to visit or not!

This agreement has also caused other changes in the couples parenting agreements, Britney gets the kids 3 days and nights a week, which basically makes child custody 50/50 now. Finally is seems things are working out for Britney, her personal life and her career is slowly getting back on track, good for her!

Britney Spear’s former manager Sam Lutfi is reportedly suing Britney and her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears. Sam Lufti is taking up a lawsuit on the terms of a breach of contract and defamation – according to documents held at Los Angeles courts. Sam Lutfi is also claiming libel, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. 

“Jamie and Lynne launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney’s life, this campaign also provided Jamie with the opportunity he needed to obtain an appointment as Britney’s conservator.” 

Additionally, the lawsuit alleges: “Despite seemingly accomplishing their objectives, Jamie and Lynne have nevertheless continued their smear campaign against Lutfi. Thus, having no other alternative, Lutfi brings this action to defend himself against Jamie’s and Lynne’s persistent attacks.”

Britney’s father has recently has had a restraining order put into place against Sam Lutfi, after he accused Lutfi of harassing the Spears family, Jamie Spears and his lawyer who are in charge of over-seeing the singers affairs as co-conservators, have placed allegations that Lufti is working alongside two other men to concert and disrupt with disregard for Britney’s health and well being. 

Sam Lufti is also accusing of Britney’s mum of damaging his reputation in her book, ‘Through the Storm’ in which she makes allegations about Lutfi’s control over her daughter.

Lutfi’s attorney, Bryan J. Freedman said in a statement Tuesday that there is “overwhelming evidence from independent witnesses” proving his client’s case and that “at the time of the trial in this action, the jury will have an opportunity to weigh the credibility of the witnesses.”

Britney’s sons Sean Preston and Jayden James will be going on tour with their mummy! Britney had previously said that she would cancel her shows if she couldn’t take her sons with her, so now they will be going on her upcoming tour Circus. Everyone has heard of take your children to work days before, but taking two young children away on a tour for twelve months is a bit much, do you think?

This is good news for Britney, but you have to wonder what life on the road will be like for Sean, 3, and Jayden, 2, and is their father Kevin Federline happy the decision and his sons being taken away from him for twelve months…

The last news was that these two were working things out and trying to be nice for their boys?  Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline were together recently for a family barbecue and things seemed friendly, but Kevin’s new romance with Victoria Prince is causing Britney quite a bit of grief and she let Kevin know – and not in a quiet manner!

Kevin arrived at the Spear’s home to pick up his sons – Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2 – and ended up staying for a family barbecue until after 5 p.m. and he and Britney were getting along famously but things went downhill the next day.

Britney’s not happy about Kevin’s relationship with volleyball star Victoria and the fact that she’s spending time with the boys, and the ex-couple reportedly had a not-so-pleasant phone conversation, that turned into a total hysterical screaming match. Britney apparently called Kev’s new lady love a “See-you-next-Tuesday.” And during the conversation Britney told Kevin that she doesn’t want his new lady anywhere near their children. 

Kevin, who has full custody of their boys, said, “You really don’t have much to say about that.”

Britney, who has been known in the past to not deal with things very well, decided to calm down with yoga. Unlike in other emotional episodes in the past, Britney didn’t go take a pill or a drink, but went downstairs and did some yoga to calm down. I think that’s a good sign she’s growing up and dealing with Kevin. 

So, Kevin has a new girlfriend, and she shouldn’t try to play a ‘mum’ role at this point in their new relationship, but Britney has to face facts – her boys may have a step-mum at some point and it is in their best interest if their step-mum cares about them. Britney will probably marry again and the boys will have a step-dad and Kevin will have to be mature about that.

2009 is going to be another exciting year for our celebrity friends, and there are many very talented potential stars waiting in the wings, I would say Lady Gaga is the name to look out for. America’s been looking for an answer to our quirky pop females (Lily Allen, Kate Nash etc…) for a while and they may well have found one in the shape of this 22-year-old New Yorker. Not only does she look and sound different but the likes of Britney Spears and Pussycat Dolls have already expressed a interest in collaboration with the artist, she also went to the same school as Paris Hilton, which surely can’t hurt.

As mentioned in the intro to this article, Lady Gaga has the potential to be massive in 2009. Born Joanne Stefani Germanotta, she combines the street savvy of young Madonna with a far greater innate musical talent, along with a unique sense of style and a mixture of music genre’s. One to watch indeed.

Britain has been blessed with a steady stream of innovative female artists over the years and Little Boots (aka Victoria Hesketh) is as interesting as any of them. If you look on YouTube, you’ll find a clip of her in her small, cluttered bedroom, surrounded by shelves of CDs and knick-knacks. Dressed in denim shorts and a sleeveless T-shirt, her dyed blond hair scrunched back from her face, she is hemmed in by two keyboards, a computer screen and a Stylophone, one of those tiny toy music machines that Rolf Harris once advertised on TV at Christmas.

The unique talents of VV Brown are refreshingly honest words of her official biography, her music is “dramatic, charismatic and, frequently, as mad as a box of frogs.” But perhaps the best description comes from the lady herself – she calls it “doowop soul”.

Given that he’s already had an album out, Bryn Christopher isn’t strictly speaking a newcomer his sublime soul voice will reach more people in the coming year. Think David McAlmont crossed with Otis Redding.

Irish soul-pop singer Laura Izibor has already performed with Al Green, been asked to support Aretha Franklin, and had a track featured on Grey’s Anatomy – all before she’s released a note of music. She must be doing something right.

Britney Spears is reportedly set to write her autobiography for $14 million dollars – nothing like the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer… The star who recently released her single ‘womanizer’ will write three to five books covering her life, over the course of a decade.

Britney has already started to make plans for the book and will talk frankly about growing up and how she went off the rails. It’ll be a gripping read and I am sure it will be purchased by many, even if they are not actual fans of hers, people will be nosey and intrigued as to what is written in the book.

The books promise to be a ‘no-holds-barred account’ of Britney’s life since the singer will include personal diary entries to recount her experiences.

There have already been numerous unofficial biographies printed about Britney, but she’s never agreed to pen her own tome – until now. And some of the stories she’s got are absolute dynamite. She’s kept diaries so there’s nothing she’ll leave out unless she wants to.

If the deal goes ahead she will write between three and five books throughout the next decade – it’s one of the most lucrative book deals in showbiz history. Britney has planned to begin to write the first book once her world tour ends.

Russell Brand

Russell Brand resigned from his BBC Radio 2 show in November following prank calls he and Jonathan Ross made to ex Fawlty Towers actor Andrew Sachs, which lead to an Ofcom investigation. But that little scandal was a mere blip in an otherwise glowing 12 months for the long-haired lady-magnet. Russell hosted one of the biggest awards ceremonies in America – the popular MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles at the start of 2008 and he’s already been asked to present the 2009 ceremony. Russell released his autobiography, My Booky Wook, for which he won the top prize at the British Book Awards. Russell also had a main role in the hit comedy film of 2008 Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Cheryl Cole

Cheryl has climbed the celebrity ranks in 2008. She was just one-fifth of Girls Aloud and a mere WAG to Chelsea and England footballer Ashley Cole. She had a horrible start to the year, temporarily separating from Ashley after stories of his infidelity were splashed across the tabloids. But the feisty Geordie soon picked herself up and fended off the likes of Mel B and Charlotte Church to land one of the biggest jobs on television, on the X Factor judging panel. Since taking the job, the 25-year-old’s popularity has soared, as she’s blubbed and bitched her way into millions of homes every Saturday night.

Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton had a great year in 2008, he began dating Pussycat Doll’s lead singer, Nicole Scherzinger, early in the year, then later in January, the F1 driver signed a multi-million pound deal with McLaren Mercedes and won the first race of 2008, the Australian grand prix. After several other wins and high placings, he clinched the Formula One World Championship in Brazil in November, becoming the youngest driver to win the title. Lewis was also featured in the Sunday Times Rich List with an estimated fortune of £15 million – at only 23 years old!

Britney’s year didn’t start brilliantly – she’d had two stints in a mental hospital, but the only way was up and Britney quickly got to work on putting her life back together. In September, Britney won her first ever MTV Award – in fact, she won three, for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video Of The Year. By the end of 2008, the mum-of-two had regained shared custody of her sons and had returned to the stage with a new album and her first UK performance in years, on X Factor. She may have been criticised for miming, but the show received the highest ratings of the year to date as 12.8 million viewers tuned in.

Beyonce

In April 2008, Beyonce married the biggest rapper on earth Jay-Z, at a very intimate ceremony in New York. No photos of the wedding were released, making it the most private A-list nuptials in years; Beyonce only confirmed the marriage publicly in September. Also in 2008, the dynamic duo was named the richest celebrity couple in the world by Forbes magazine, which noted that Beyonce herself earned an estimated $80 million in the year up to June.  It is also been reported that Beyonce will be appearing in two films in 2009, so watch this space!
