Dannii Minogue’s Future At X Factor Is Confirmed

dannii-minogueThe speculation about Dannii Minogue’s X Factor future appears to be over, as since the end of the last series it has been speculated that she may be getting kicked off the show, but fellow judge on the show Simon Cowell has said she will remain on the show and, in addition, her reported £500,000-a-series pay packet will be doubled. This will bring her wage in line with fellow judge Cheryl Cole’s seven-figure contract.

From the first time Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole became a hit on the ITV show, rumours started circulating about a possible replacement for Kylie’s little sister. The likes of Robbie Williams, Gary Barlow, Posh Spice and Lily Allen were thrown into the mix.

However, The Mirror quotes Simon Cowell as saying: “As far as the judging panel is concerned, let’s just say that if I was a betting man my money would be on Dannii returning to the show. She was great last year and I am adamant she should be there for the next series. Despite all the fuss concerning Dannii and Cheryl, I think the four judges worked really well together and gelled. There was an excellent chemistry. There’s been a lot of rubbish written about just who will be on the show, with people like Victoria Beckham supposedly in the frame. That was absolute nonsense – I never approached her.”

So this is the final news confirmed and it is good news for Dannii who is said to be excited and eager to sign on the dotted line, lets just hope she has better relations with the panel in the forthcoming series, as last year she publicly fell out with fellow judge Louis Walsh, who famously made her cry live on air, and Sharon Osbourne spoke about Dannii in a recent television interview saying she was the reason she left X Factor and she couldn’t stand her: “She had no personality and acted like a silly innocent girl, it got on my nerves and i couldn’t see myself working with her for the next six months” were Sharon’s opinions on Dannii during the interview.

Sharon Osbourne Quit X Factor Because Of Dannii Minogue

Sharon Osbourne  spoke out in a recent interview about being a judge on the TV show X Factor and said she quit as a judge on the programme because of Dannii Minogue. The 56-year-old left the ITV1 show in June after four series saying it was “time to move on”, and reports suggested clashes with fellow panellist Dannii were also behind her decision.

Sharon has recently spoken out and said: “I left because of Dannii Minogue. Simple as that. I didn’t enjoy working with her at all and didn’t fancy the prospect of spending six months sitting next to her.”

Sharon, who was replaced on the TV talent show by Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, rejected the suggestion that her fall-out with Dannii came about because she was jealous of the younger woman’s looks.

“I’ve not built my career on my looks or my youth,” was Sharon’s response to these claims.

Sharon Osbourne first found fame with rocker hubby Ozzy and their children Kelly and Jack on reality show The Osbournes and as been in the eye of the media ever since for her abrupt, self-opinionated comments – she certainly doesn’t hold back on her words!

2008 Was A Bad Year For These Celebrities

AMY WINEHOUSE
It’d be unfair to suggest that Amy’s year has been all bad. She won an Ivor Novello songwriting award in May; was honoured with a wax dummy in Madame Tussauds in July and her hubby got out of jail in November. But Amy also received a caution for slapping a man in the face, was arrested after a video surfaced of her smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine, and got in a fight with a member of her own audience during her set at Glastonbury. Amy was too ill to attend the unveiling of her wax dummy, she only found out about the early release of her estranged husband after reading about it in the paper, and she was hospitalised in November after a bad reaction to prescription medicine.

JONATHAN ROSS
Jonathan started 2008 by bagging a prestigious Sony Gold Award for his hugely popular Radio 2 show, and kicked off another series of his chat show, Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. But all that changed in October, when he teamed up with Russell Brand to make prank phone calls to 78-year-old actor Andrew Sachs on Brand’s Radio 2 show. Eighteen thousand people complained, Brand resigned from the BBC, and Ross was suspended without pay for three months. His £18 million four-year deal was also called into question, he is due to return to work in January 2009.

DANNII MINOGUE
Ms Minogue was the big success story of X Factor 2007, guiding her acts Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts to first and second place in her first year as a judge. But in 2008, Dannii’s X Factor fortunes have disappeared (like her tiny nose). Feisty Rachel Hylton and Dannii struggled to see eye-to-eye; there were reported spats between Dannii and Simon Cowell; Simon chose to sit next to new, younger judge Cheryl Cole on the panel; and then Dannii broke down in tears during a live show in November following a spat with Louis Walsh.

‘Life With My Sister Madonna’ was written by the star’s younger brother, Christopher Ciccone, who admits he has not spoken to the star for several years. 2008 will also be remembered as the year the queen of pop filed for divorce from Guy Ritchie after eight years of marriage. “I’m sad about my personal life,” she admitted. “But I feel very blessed and very lucky that I have the opportunity to do what I do in my professional life.” Madonna had wanted their three children to settle in New York, but as part of her divorce deal with Guy, she has agreed that he should share custody of his sons.

SIENNA MILLER
Can anyone name a film that Sienna Miller starred in this year? 2008 has been all about Sienna’s private life. The 26-year-old suffered a very public backlash after she began dating a married father-of-four, Balthazar Getty from the Channel 4 series Brothers and Sisters. Sienna’s profile took a further battering after photos surfaced of the topless star kissing Getty on a boat of the coast of Italy, and not long after, Sienna’s London home was defaced with graffiti.

In August 2008, Kerry was declared bankrupt for failing to pay an enormous tax bill. Then she appeared to be slurring her words during an interview on This Morning in October, prompting hosts Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton to inquire about her wellbeing. Kerry blamed prescription drugs for her condition, but in the days following the interview, she sacked longtime publicist Max Clifford and admitted she had been diagnosed an alcoholic a few years ago.

Dannii Minogue Has Said She Will Be Back

The X Factor judge Dannii Minogue said she will be back for next year’s show, despite rumours saying she is going to be sacked from the show and replaced by Robbie Williams

The 37-year-old has said: “The producers and Simon tell me I am returning, so that’s all I believe. So unless I hear differently, then I’ll be back.”

Despite her fall-out with judge Louis Walsh, which saw her in tears live throughout one show, Dannii is keen to keep the current line-up, as she believes that the panel is strong and works well with Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole.

“We have different opinions – it’s very important.” Dannii says.

The 37-year-old is taking her rugby player boyfriend Kris Smith home to Australia to meet her parents this Christmas - ”I can’t wait to show Kris around Australia. I’m so excited. Initially he was coming for a two-week break, but who knows, he might just take one long holiday and stay with me the whole time!”

Cheryl who is a judge alongside Dannii on the show has put previous marriage troubles with footballer husband Ashley Cole, after reports he was unfaithful, behind her this Christmas.

Cheryl has said: “I’m a real Christmas person. It’s such a family time and I love getting festive. I’d like to fill stockings with romantic and thoughtful presents for Ashley!

Dannii Mingoue’s style secrets

Dannii Mingoue has changed considerably from the start of her career to the successful celebrity she is today, as a teenage pop star with hair-sprayed quiffs and chubby cheeks, Dannii pioneered some of the worst looks of the 80s. After her first marriage broke up in her mid-20s, she dropped a stone and gained blonde hair and cropped tops…

Dannii’s style has now changed and these days she loves classic form-fitting dresses. Her long-time friend and hairstylist Christian Vermaak has said: “She’s inspired by the glamour of the young Liz Taylor and Joan Collins, because they are both petite with similar colouring.”

Dannii battled with her weight until her mid-20s. Now she follows a strict organic regime, which rules out wheat, meat and dairy. Dannii has a secret weapon when it comes to her exercise regime – 25-minute sessions on the Power Plate, a vibrating platform that intensifies toning exercises. She also does yoga and power walking.

In the past, her harsh hair tones have been unflattering. Now Dannii sticks to her natural brown and adds a few block highlights and she keeps it shiny with an L’Oreal Intense Repair Masque.

To achieve her healthy flawless glow, Dannii uses Tan Towels and steers away from blush because it makes her cheeks look hollow, and she uses Mac Gold Lip Liner on her cupid’s bow.

‘Bee venom’ is the secret to Dannii’s amazing complexion, according to her facialist Deborah Mitchell. The facemask, which isn’t on the market yet, is harvested from hives. The singer also insists on Deborah’s organic Heaven skincare products.

Dannii has admitted using Botox, saying she wants to “look the best I can be”. But she has vowed to stop so she can show more expression. She has also confessed to surgery on her boobs and experts have also questioned her sculpted nose. The singer admitted: “It didn’t make me happier.”

Simon Cowell sticks up for Dannii Minogue

Simon Cowell has took Louis Walsh to task for making fellow judge Dannii Minogue cry on TV. Dannii was left in tears after Louis attacked her for ‘stealing’ a song he had wanted for his group JLS. The row had started on Thursday but spilled over into the live show.

Louis was furious after she refused to allow JLS to sing Take That hit Rule The World – because she’d earmarked it for her act, Rachel Hylton – who was later that night evicted from the show. Millions of viewers witnessed Louis say angrily to Dannii: “We’re all in it for our acts. We all care and I have to protect my acts as well, they wanted to do Rule The World from day one.”

Dannii sat staring straight ahead with tears welling in her eyes, unable to speak. Simon stuck up for Dannii, telling her: “Just picking up on what Louis said about nicking the song, we take it in turns and Dannii made absolutely the right decision, and if Louis doesn’t like it… tough.”

A source on the show said: “Things are getting very tense. Dannii felt she was being isolated on the panel and publicly humiliated.”

In recent weeks Dannii has tried – and failed – to build bridges with fellow judge Cheryl Cole. A well-placed source revealed: “Dannii fears that her days on the show could be numbered unless she can get back on side with the other judges. Recently she has been trying to get in with Cheryl by inviting her to lunch and suggesting nights out together. But Cheryl keeps making excuses.”

X Factor reject Rachel Hylton breaks down

Rachel Hylton broke down in tears as she hit out at negative media coverage for cutting short her X Factor experience. The 26-year-old soul singer said she felt “numb” about being kicked off Saturday night’s show after she lost out in a sing-off with boyband JLS.

Rachel, a former drug addict, said: “I really think it didn’t matter about my performance. Bottom line is I feel I’ve been judged on my past the whole way through this competition. I wasn’t given a chance.”

The mother-of-five, from London, burst into tears as she blamed the media for victimising her by digging up her criminal past, which had led to three of her children being taken into care.

She said: “I’ve been given a lot of negative press coverage. I just feel it was really unfair. I know I’ve taken drugs, I know I’ve committed crimes and I am sorry.”

“I didn’t mean to do them things. I’ve lost three kids and I’m nearly 27,” she added, sobbing.

“I’m sorry to cry, but I’ve got to live with that every single day of my life. My oldest son is 13 and I don’t even know what his favourite colour is, that’s embarassing. It’s not something I’m proud of.”

Dannii and Louis fight over a song

dannilouismain_555764a-215x3001

Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh have fallen out this week because they both wanted the same song for their X Factor singers, the hot headed judges were at battle after they both had the same song in mind for the contest this coming weekend.

The song that was at the centre of the dispute was Take That’s 2007 hit Rule The World, with Louis desperate to bag it for his band JLS, while Dannii wanted her Over 25 contestant Rachel to sing it on Saturday night’s show.

The X Factor website has confirmed that Dannii has won the argument, because the judges operate a rota system and this week was her turn to get first dibs on her choice of song.

JLS love the song so much that they wanted to sing it in the Best of British Week, but decided to wait until the Take That show. They will now have to sing their second choice, Back For Good, instead.

X Factor Contestant Rachel Hylton hasn’t dumped Dannii!

Recent rumours in the press have lead the public to believe that contestant Rachel Hylton has dumped her mentor Dannii, but these rumours have been wrong and it has been confirmed that Rachel has not “dumped” her mentor Dannii Minogue and the pair have actually been working closely together all week. Rachel found herself in the bottom last week and this has taken a big blow to her confidence and she is worried this will affect her next performance, Rachel has requested to Dannii that she wants to have more of a say in the song choice and the overall style of her next performance but this hasn’t been a problem and she claims she is still part of Team Minogue!

Rachel Hylton has said to ITV, “Dannii and I talked yesterday and I don’t have anything against Dannii at all and she is still very much my mentor and I respect her opinions, all I want is a little more control over my performance and styling, which she is allowing me to have. But I am a fully fledged member of Team Minogue.”

Dannii Minogue’s comments on the rumours were “Rachel and I have not fallen out and there has never been any discussions that she wishes to leave Team Minogue. I have, as always, spent lots of one on one time with Rachel this week and have even organised a personal shopping trip so she feels more confident about her look. Rachel is a raw talent. She may be the Robbie Williams of The X Factor, but I back her 100% and want her to be happy. As with all three of my amazing contestants, they are my main priority.”
