Kate Hudson used to have a little trouble saying “no”. Kate said that she used to be a little bit of a pushover because she didn’t want to let anybody down but she says that has changed since she has become a mother.
She learned to say no once she had Ryder. “I had to learn to say ‘no.’ That came very easily once I became a mother.

Kate is a mum to Ryder Russell (dad is Chris Robinson) and although the 29-year-old was raised in a carefree home by her free-spirited mum, actress Goldie Hawn and stepdad, actor Kurt Russell, Kate admits she’s a strict mum, and has overcome her trouble’s of saying no, especially to Ryder.

“My lesson in life has been to learn to say ‘no’. I’m a ‘yes’ person. I don’t like letting people down, so I had to learn to say ‘no’. That came very easily once I became a mother. ‘Can I have candy?’ ‘No.’”

Kate has admitted she is a strict mother, “Yes. My parents were very tough and there’s something to be said for that. My parents were really hard on me and yet they are my favourite people in the world and we have the greatest relationship. That’s how I’d like to raise my child. You love them but you have to put your foot down.”

Bride Wars star Kate Hudson said she is still friends with ex-hubby, Chris Robinson, father of her five-year-old son Ryder. Indeed, it was something she clearly embraced as she believes that Chris and she were meant to be together because they were destined to have a child.

“When I met Chris it was like nothing else. I had no question that I was going to have a kid with him. Every rule went out the window. We were telling each other we loved each other by the fourth day and I moved in within a week. I had no question that we were going to get married.”

The actress married rocker Robinson in 2000, when she was 22 years and divorced him in 2007. “He’s still a permanent fixture in my life,” Kate explained. “But I believe our love changed its form, it shifted.”

Kate also said, “I don’t think we were meant to be married but I think we were meant to have a child and we have this amazing little boy together, we’ll be together our entire lives. Whoever he ends up with, whoever I end up with, we will always be together.”

Kate now wants to concentrate more on her family, especially her son Ryder and is not in the lookout for a new boyfriend.

Kate Hudson Talks About The Paparazzi

That’s a nice sweater Kate. It looks like she should be wearing it in Taos, not New York City. Poor Kate is always getting ‘papped’, it seems she can’t get away from the cameras and she has spoken out and this recently and how it effects her, it gets her down and she worries that it is only going to get worse as her life goes on, she can never she is coming to an end.

Kate recently shared her beliefs about the paparazzi by saying, “They’ve become an entity to themselves, but eventually they’ll implode. They’re creating a house of cards that will inevitably fall. These are not nice people. When you’re taking your child to school, and they’re trying to get on school property to get a picture, it literally makes you want to just smack them.”

The paparazzi obviously provide us on a daily basis with photographs of our favorite and most famous celebrities, and we buy the magazines and read the newspapers that provide us with these photographs, hopefully there will come a day when the craziness of paparazzi will wear off, but we will still be able to keep tabs on our favorite stars through websites minus that nasty, unexpected photograph paparazzi’s provide.

Celebrities appear to be more concerned about being photographs when they become parents, as they do not want their children to become involved with the crazy world of paparazzi that they are in, and i do feel sorry for celebrities who struggle with this on a daily basis like Tom and Katie Cruise.

A-List celebrity mums are telling all about their family lives in a new tell-all book “The Black Book of Hollywood Pregnancy Secrets,” which is due out in March, 2009. You must of heard of these people: Katie Holmes, Kate Hudson, Angelina Jolie… They’re all in the book and they’re talking about living in the spotlight, enjoying holidays, and even living life as a single celebrity mum, all the in’s and out’s of being a celebrity mum that you would like to know!

Kate Hudson finds it very hard dating as a single mom to 5-year-old son, Ryder. “I do find it tough to date,” Kate says. “I’d rather be at home with my son cooking dinner than going out with a guy. My son is my man.”

Angelina Jolie recalls one Halloween with Brad Pitt and her children. “We were in India and Brad and the kids and I had an off celebration in the hotel we were staying at. We had candy sent up, which we said was from the saints.”

Tina Fey says, “I don’t care how many magazine covers you’re on. When you’re chasing a three-year-old around with a pull-up diaper hoping she won’t poop on the floor, you’re just like every other mom on the planet.”

Helena Bonham Carter, actress and wife of awesome director Tim Burton, says she got quite snippy about her vices during her pregnancy. Helena, 42, has two kids with Tim – son Billy, 5, and daughter Nell, 13 months. She was often yelled at for drinking coffee while preggers.

Whenever someone slammed her for the caffeine intake, she’d say, “Your mother was probably on vodka, and do you have three heads?”

Kate Hudson has admitted she hates the outfits she gets made to wear in her films.

The actress – who is currently staring in ‘Bride Wars’ with Anne Hathaway – admits she would love to have more freedom with the clothes she has to wear on set. She said: “For some reason, most of the movies I am in they put me in pencil skirts or tight jeans and it drives me crazy!

“In real life, I love clothes. It’s like an expression of who you are, but in movies you are wearing thing that aren’t necessarily the things you would choose to put on.”

Kate also played-down her intense on-screen chemistry with her ‘Fool’s Gold’ co-star Matthew McConaughey, claiming it has never extended into real life.

She added: “To me, Matthew feels more like a brother – we are both very flirtatious people, but there is no romantic connection. I just have a total soft spot for him. ”We can goof around and have a great time but we also know how to push each other’s buttons perfectly. We both have a competitive nature and throw little jabs at each other.”
