Megan Fox needs to “grow up” according to the Transformers director.
The 23-year-old actress criticised Transformers director, Michael Bay saying he focused too much on special effects rather than acting during the 2007 blockbuster, however Bay has hit back saying her comments are “ridiculous” and should be ignored.
Michael-who recently recast Fox into this summer’s sequel ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ – said, “Well that is Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she is 23-years-old and still has a lot of growing up to do.
“You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, ‘Ok Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.’”
He further told Us weekly magazine, “Nick Cage wasn’t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in Armageddon. Shia LeBeouf wasn’t a big movie star before he did Transformers -and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from ‘Bad Boys.’
“Nobody knew in the world about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in ‘Transformers’. I like to think that I have had some luck in building actors’ careers with my films.”
Talking about her role in Transformers, Megan Fox, said, “I mean, I can’t s**t on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors in for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s a*s. People are well aware this is not a movie about acting.”
