Rachel Stevens Was Heartbroken For Not Winning Strictly

Rachel Stevens has admitted she was in floods of tears after losing the Strictly Come Dancing final to Tom Chambers. Rachel who is a former S Club star made the final two of the show, but added she suspected fans’ favourite Tom would come out tops.

“Everything was too much. I bawled my eyes out, I was a blubbering wreck,” Rachel has said. “My mum said, ‘You’re a winner to me, I can’t tell you how well you’ve done, you’ve inspired me.’ But I did stand there just thinking: ‘Please say Rachel and Vincent.’”

Rachel has said she had a sixth sense Tom would do it and win the final, as he has a massive fanbase out there and people love him. She said she knew he was always going to do it, but to win would have been the icing on the cake for Rachel as she adores Vincent and would have loved to have won it for him.”

Rachel also revealed that her fiance Alex felt uncomfortable about the pair’s rumba performance.

“The rumba was by far my favourite dance, but it was difficult for Alex to watch,” Rachel said. “He has been amazing. It has not been easy for him. I can’t imagine how I would feel.”

Rachel Stevens is reportedly struggling to rehearse for Saturday’s Strictly Come Dancing final after falling during training her training this week. Rachel is a former member of pop band S Club 7 and has hurt her back badly in a rehearsal with her dancing partner Vincent Simone. 

Rachel, 30, is said to be undergoing emergency treatment to help her get well enough to perform in Saturday’s live show.

A source said: “Rachel’s having emergency physio and is taking painkillers. It couldn’t have come at a worse time because she’s desperate to be fully fit for the final.”

“She’s been struggling with her back and all the lifts haven’t helped. However, she really jarred it after falling heavily. It’s a real shame.”

Rachel is the bookmakers’ favourite to win the glitter ball trophy at odds of 6/4, ahead of grand finalists Tom Chambers and Lisa Snowdon.

There is always a team of physios on hand to help the contestants with any problems they may have and hopefully this will mean Rachel will be performing in the final on saturday.
